Vaxis ATOM 500

The Compact Wireless Video System For Mobile Use

What is it?
Vaxis ATOM 500 is an affordable, mini-sized, HDMI wireless video set consisting of a receiver and transmitter with a built-in antenna.
The transmitter can send up to 1080p 60fps HD video over a distance of 152m with less than a 0.1 seconds delay.
The video sent by the transmitter can be viewed in the traditional way by attaching the ATOM 500 receiver to an HDMI monitor. In addition, the transmitter can send the video to an iPhone or iPad. With the ATOM app, users can view and record wireless video. In total, one transmitter can send video to four devices at the same time; one HDMI receiver and three iPhones or iPads.

For who?
The kit is ideal for mobile users who wants to view wireless video with their iPhone or iPad in their hand. The free downloadable Vaxis Vision ATOM 500 app allows wireless monitoring and image record and offers tools such as assisted focus, frame guides, grayscale, and more.
The app is currently available for iOS only. An Android app will be released later this year.

What’s inside the box?
The package includes one transmitter, one receiver, user manual, cold shoe adapter with platform, USB-C cable, and hex key.

Features

• Dual HDMI. The transmitter (TX) has two HDMI ports (HDMI in and HDMI loop out) and the receiver (RX) has two HDMI loop out ports.
• Robust Connection. The built-in antenna reduces signal loss even in complicated shooting environments. It will work anywhere.
 • OLED Screen. TX and RX have an OLED screen to display useful information for easy configuration, like video format, channel number, signal strength, and more.
• ATOM APP. An iOS app that allows wireless monitoring, image record, and tools such as assisted focus, frame guides, grayscale, firmware updates and more.
• Flexible Mounting. The metal body of both TX and RX features multiple 1/4-20 threaded mounts to attach to equipment. You can mount vertically and horizontally which makes Gimbal/Steadicam balancing easier.
• USB-C Power. The USB-C port acts as a data port for firmware updates as well as a power connection to power TX and RX by any USB-C style power bank. Optional Sony NPF battery mounting plates are available to power otherwise.
• Auto Channel Selection. It gives users a hassle-free connection out of the box. For more advanced control one can switch to manual selection.
• Passcode Protection. One can choose who will be able to receive the video signal.
• H.265 encoding. This offers better image quality with less bandwidth.
•  Distance vs Quality Priority. Users can choose between distance or quality priority depending on what is more important at the moment.
